"I believe that the photographic image can be an end in itself, the start of a journey or an artist’s sketch pad. My work encompasses all three. Sometimes the image itself is sufficient particularly for recording the passing of time. Developing the image digitally opens up the imagination and leads on to further photographic imagery and also transfer into other media – etching, screen-printing and other traditional areas".
